Pretty sure Ashlee Simpson inspired Lady GaGa’s first music video. Reminder, this is GaGa’s Just Dance, and this is Simpson’s L.O.V.E. (Trust me, it’s worth another watch after all these years…)
So what if the weird-ass-hipster-house-party idea isn’t hers? G does it way better. Ashlee is awkward (gotta love those faces), her dancing is terrible (she actually does the robot), and WTF is with the porn lighting? GaGa also pulls off the plat-blonde look, while Ash looks (and sounds) like an injured cat.
This isn’t the first time GaGa has used others’ ideas. Madonna’s image, anyone? That free bitch!
